How do I manage the risk of disease resistance in my lentil field?
To manage disease resistance risk in your lentil field, BASF recommends growers use sustainable fungicide management practices such as:
- Longer rotation: at least 4 years between lentils
- Limit Group 11-containing foliar fungicide products to one application per season
- If applying multiple fungicide applications in a year, apply the fungicide containing Group 11 first.
- If fungicides containing a Group 11 have shown a decrease in performance in a field, use a non-Group 11 fungicide registered for anthracnose such as Cotegra® fungicide
