Coming to a field near you: the 2023 InVigor® Series

  • BASF to bring unique InVigor experience to western Canadian baseball stadiums

CALGARY, ALBERTA, June 27, 2023 – Whether it leads to a bumper crop or a championship title, we’re all hoping for a great season. This summer, BASF Canada Agricultural Solutions (BASF) is teaming up with western Canadian baseball teams to bring the InVigor® Series to three baseball games across the Prairies.

“We’re thrilled to partner with three western Canadian teams this summer to deliver the InVigor Series game day experience,” says Brent Collins, Head of Seeds & Traits – Canada at BASF. “As the leading canola brand in Canada, we share the same goal with growers and with baseball players—bringing excellence to the field.

“There’s a surprising number of similarities between baseball and farming. Each is a season-long pursuit with the foundation for success formed around strategy, planning and performance. Both players and growers strive to find a balance between risk and reward.”

BASF will join the Western Canadian Baseball League (WCBL) and the American Association of Professional Baseball (AAPB) as a game day host at three InVigor-themed baseball games across Western Canada:

  • Lethbridge, AB (Thursday, July 13, 2023) – Moose Jaw Miller Express @ Lethbridge Bulls, WCBL
  • Swift Current, SK (Sunday, July 23, 2023) – Brooks Bombers @ Swift Current 57s, WCBL
  • Winnipeg, MB (Saturday, August 26, 2023) – Kansas City Monarchs @ Winnipeg Goldeyes, AAPB

“Community investment is a priority for us at BASF and we have seen the connection baseball has to rural and farming communities. Baseball is an important pastime for our customers, retailers and representatives, and these leagues enrich the rural areas they operate in,” adds Collins.

The robust InVigor hybrid canola lineup from BASF has a fit for every field. Swing for the fences and harvest your full potential with InVigor’s high-yielding hybrids, clubroot resistant genetics and industry-leading patented Pod Shatter Reduction technology.

Growers can stay up to date on InVigor trials happening across the Prairies using BASF’s trial results tool. For more information on InVigor hybrid canola or the InVigor Series baseball games, please reach out to your local BASF Canada representative.
