BASF introduces Vercoras as the first BASF seed treatment for InVigor hybrid canola
BASF Canada Agricultural Solutions has received registration from Health Canada’s Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) for Vercoras®, BASF’s first seed treatment for InVigor® hybrid canola. Vercoras delivers broad-spectrum protection against key seed and soil-borne diseases like blackleg during the critical early season infection period, as well as baseline protection against flea beetles. Vercoras will be available for purchase on InVigor canola hybrids for the 2022 growing season.

BASF Canada launches Habitat Aqua herbicide, delivering effective solution for invasive weed control
BASF Canada Agricultural Solutions has launched its herbicide Habitat® Aqua (Habitat), registered for use by Health Canada, to combat invasive weeds that threaten natural habitats across Canada. Approved for application in and around aquatic sites, Habitat provides effective control over tough-to-manage invasive species such as phragmites, cordgrasses, flowering rush and knotweeds, which continue to be problematic for the native ecosystem and cause significant damage to the surrounding area.

BASF launches Safety Scouts program to help keep children safe on the farm
BASF Canada Agricultural Solutions has launched its BASF Safety Scouts program as a fun and interactive way to support family farm safety. Through the new program, participants will receive a free safety vest and toolkit, as they prepare to take on the important role of an official Safety Scout. The program is part of BASF’s long-standing partnership with the Canadian Agricultural Safety Association (CASA) and builds on the online Kids’ Safety Hub, an online resource to help farm families stay safe.

Bosch and BASF smart farming joint venture gets global green light
Stuttgart / Cologne, Germany – The 50/50 joint venture (JV) between Bosch and BASF Digital Farming to globally market and sell smart farming technologies from a single source has now received approval by all relevant merger control authorities. The JV has been registered as Bosch BASF Smart Farming (BBSF) GmbH.

Corteva Agriscience and BASF Canada Agricultural Solutions (BASF) have announced their collaboration and joint approach of weed control by recommending the combined use of Liberty® 200 SN and EnlistTM 1® herbicides on Enlist E3TM soybean acres. The companies share the commitment to Canadian soybean growers and the goal of continuing the advancement of sustainable agriculture.

BASF receives Zidua SC herbicide label expansion for use on potatoes
BASF Canada Agricultural Solutions (BASF) has received registration for the label expansion of Zidua® SC on potatoes. This label expansion adds to the use application of Zidua SC which includes providing activity on key annual grasses and broadleaf weeds for several crops, including chickpeas, field corn, dry field peas, lentils and soybeans.

BASF receives Health Canada PMRA registration for Merivon fungicide
BASF Canada Agricultural Solutions (BASF) has received registration for Merivon® fungicide from Health Canada’s Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA). Merivon fungicide harnesses the power of two active ingredients, Xemium® (fluxapyroxad) and AgCelence® (pyraclostrobin) to address key diseases like black rot and bitter rot in apples, and Septoria leaf spot and botrytis gray mold in blueberries.
