CALGARY, ALBERTA, June 29, 2026 – BASF Agricultural Solutions Canada is collaborating with Saskatoon-based clothing company, Prairie Proud on a limited-edition lifestyle apparel collection celebrating the 30th anniversary of InVigor® hybrid canola.
“Marking 30 years since InVigor first launched in Canada means celebrating 30 years of partnership with Prairie farmers,” said Mark Alberts, Senior Brand Manager, InVigor. “InVigor has truly grown alongside Prairie farmers, and through this partnership with Prairie Proud, we want to thank growers for their continued support as we look to the future.”
The InVigor x Prairie Proud collection includes pullover and zip-up hoodies, T-shirts and hats, available in adult and youth sizes. The items feature InVigor graphics that are reminiscent of artwork and signage commonly found across the region. The designs evoke the deep roots of InVigor in the Prairie provinces, where it is grown in almost three out of every five canola fields in the region.
All proceeds from the limited-edition merchandise will go to The Do More Agriculture Foundation, which champions mental health in agriculture across Canada. BASF has supported The Do More Agriculture Foundation since 2024, funding AgTalk, the organization’s 24/7 peer-to-peer support network hosted on the Togetherall platform.
“We’re committed to supporting farmers, and that includes helping them on and off the field,” said BASF’s Alberts. “To be able to give back to a worthy cause like The Do More Agriculture Foundation while celebrating canola growers is just part of our greater mission to support farmers as they do the biggest job on earth.”
BASF chose to partner with Prairie Proud because of the brand’s strong connection to prairie communities and its history of creating apparel that reflects pride in Western Canadian life. Since its inception in 2014, Prairie Proud has contributed to charitable causes across Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.
“Growing up in a small farming community, I learned early on that agriculture is about far more than what happens in the field. It’s about the people, families and communities that work tirelessly to support and sustain an industry that feeds the world,” said Cole Thorpe, Founder, Prairie Proud. “Being able to collaborate with a brand that has stood alongside Canadian farmers for generations, while supporting the well-being of the broader agricultural community, reflects exactly what Prairie Proud was built on.”
The InVigor x Prairie Proud collection will be launching at Ag in Motion from July 21-23. Limited quantities will be available for purchase at the BASF booth (#502), as well as at the Prairie Proud booth (FP - B27 Scotiabank Farm Pavilion). The apparel will also be available in limited quantities on the Prairie Proud website as of July 21.
