Weeds shown are controlled at the 0.19 L/acre rate when applied at the 1- to 6-true-leaf stage, up to 3 tillers, unless otherwise indicated.

*Suppression at the 0.44 L/acre rate when applied at the 1- to 4-true-leaf stage, prior to tillering.
**Suppression at the 0.19 L/acre rate when applied at the 2- to 5-true-leaf stage and control at the 0.44 L/acre rate when applied up to the 3-true-leaf stage.

Application Tips

  • Reduced rates are not recommended, since they will result in inconsistent weed control.
  • Poast Ultra is extremely rainfast. Only one hour is required following application.
  • One of the few grass products registered for aerial application. Consult label for instructions.
  • The effectiveness of Poast Ultra should not be affected if spraying is delayed, even if the herbicide remains in the tank overnight. Agitate before spraying.
  • Poast Ultra applied to quackgrass at the 4- to 5-leaf stage will provide acceptable control.
  • Can be applied following or prior to Liberty.

How Much to Apply

  • Each case of Poast Ultra contains enough herbicide to treat 80 - 120 acres. The surfactant Merge® is required for herbicide activity and is available separately from your retailer.
  • Always ensure that the rate of Merge is 1.0 L/100 L of spray solution (1.0% spray solution) for optimal performance.

Mixing Instructions

  1. Fill clean spray tank half full with clean water. Start agitation system.
  2. If tank-mixing with Muster herbicide add tank-mix partner now. Agitate for 2 - 3 minutes. Note: Always add Muster to clean water. When refilling the tank for repeated spray applications, add Muster to a small container of clean water, mix well to form a slurry, then add to the spray tank.
  3. Add the correct amount of Poast Ultra. Continue to agitate.
  4. If required, add recommended broadleaf herbicides such as MCPA Ester, Lontrel 360, Liberty or Buctril M.
  5. Add the correct amount of Merge along with the remaining amount of water necessary to fill the spray tank.
  6. Continue to agitate or run the by-pass system.
  7. After any break in the spraying operation, agitate thoroughly before spraying again.
